It’s rare, but sometimes you can find everything you’re looking for in a single photograph…

Today’s single image crush comes from Michael Magers’ project Independent Mysteries. In this photograph the steam transforms into a sort of entity with a life force of its own. It unfurls around the boy and seems to engulf him in its luminescence. I imagine him enraptured as he is tugged towards a magical, glowing portal. I love how Magers is able to take a mundane moment and turn it into an otherworldly encounter.
